February meeting – Genomic analyses with R

We’re excited to collaborate with the Montreal R User Group on a special event, focused on genomic analyses with R.

16:00 – 16:05 Introduction (Alain Bateman)
16:05 – 16:40 Mathieu Lajoie, PhD, an overview of three important packages for genomic analyses, GenomicRanges, rtracklayer and knitr
16:40 – 17:00 Break with snacks and beverages
17:00 – 17:40 Stéphane Mbatchou, co-developper of DataSHIELD, “an R library that enables the remote and non-disclosive analysis of sensitive research data”
17:40 – 18:00 Alexis Blanchet-Cohen, developer of abcrnaseqplots, an alternative to CummeRbund to analyze RNA-Seq data

Prizes for the speakers are generously provided by the Montreal R User Group.

The meeting will take place Wednesday February the 3rd, from 16:00 to 18:00 in the Jacques-Genest auditorium at IRCM.
